United by their love of music and silk-screening, each will present 3 to 5 works drawn from the international music scene. Which bands will be represented? OSHEAGA ARTS et Converse present: DJ FOOD – The Search Engine In association with Société des arts technologiques July 19th & 20th / SatosphèreTickets available at the SAT Box Office Order online: www.osheaga.com Ticket price: From $26.50 (taxes and service fees included) Stemming from the world premiere which took place at London’s Planetarium last fall, Strictly Kev aka DJ Food will adapt his content to fit the Satosphere in order to provide an unprecedented and immersive phonic and visual experience. The show, created with the help of astronomers from the Royal Observatory of Greenwich, uses music by The Search Engine, images from Kev’s personal archives as well as an array of material provided by the astronomers themselves. The performance presents a remixed version of the album, as well as new and exclusive material that provides spectators with a unique experience. Show Schedule ——————————————————————————————————————————————– This is not the first time we’ve heard from the duo consisting of keyboardist Alex McMahon and percussionist Jean-Philippe Goncalves. Their first album, “First Aid Kit” hit the shelves in 2005 and took home the Félix Award for best electronic or techno album. They have also collaborated with Lauryn Hill when she came through Montreal in 2005. The group is launching a new album on May 15.
