SICK PUPPIES: THE NEXT STEP BEYOND YOUR NORMAL LEVEL OF INSANITY

Australian rock trio Sick Puppies took over Le Petit Campus on Monday night. Montreal fans have been waiting long enough to see the band in the city. Back in April 2010, Sick Puppies performed a short 20 minutes set at the Bell Center supporting Nickelback, Shinedown and Breaking Benjamin, but it wasn’t enough. We wanted them back with a full headlining show and we finally got what we were asking for this time!

The band delivered 13 solid songs in an hour and fifteen minutes, warming up the crowd with their hit song “Odd One”, followed by their newest single “Riptide”. The fans went literally crazy and the screams were very loud. It went on all night, rock songs after rock songs.

The band kept the crowd excited until the very end by keeping their album #1 hit “You’re Going Down” as the goodbye song. The lights came down and you could still see the fans with their hands up in the air requesting for more. Even with an absolute sold-out show, the band took the time to cheer the fans, shake hands and take photos. On stage, lead signer Shimon Moore kept on repeating how much he loved to be in Montreal and that they were going to be back here “as soon as they can”. Hopefully this statement will be honored!

The media promotion kit stated: “Sick Puppies: the next step beyond your normal level of insanity, and/or the third level of madness.” and it honestly is!

Sick Puppies are Shimon Moore (Vocal, Guitar), Emma Anzai (bass) and Mark Goodwin (drum)
