CISCO OTTAWA BLUEFEST 2010 – DAY 8
Fire and ice on Day 8 at Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest!
Folk-rocker Sarah Harmer graced the Claridge stage to open the evening with her soulful and cool sound. Newmarket’s Hannah Georgas played an intimate set at the Barney Danson Theatre, the only indoor venue at Bluesfest 2010.
Dallas Green and his hardcore rockers Alexisonfire surged onto the Subway Stage, much to the delight of a field of 6,000 crowd-surfing and head thrashing teenagers.
Montreal based indie art rockers Arcade Fire brought their signature sound to the MBNA stage to headline Day 8 at Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest. While they hail from just down Highway 417 from Ottawa, and boast a couple of Ottawans as members, this is their first Ottawa headline show since their inception in 2003. The 30,000 fans in attendance clearly appreciated Arcade Fire’s
unique orchestral pop-fantasy sound.
