LNL: How’s your day so far?
Henkka: So far it’s good, I woke up at noon and then I had some food and start to pack my stuff because we are leaving on Tuesday.
LNL: Will you be watching any shows today? Which bands are you looking forward to see?
Henkka: I think I will go see Morbid Angel, I hope!
LNL: That’s it?
Henkka: Maybe Kiss and maybe Motörhead!
LNL: Beside the festivals where you are playing, do you like going to see live shows?
Henkka: Yes, yes, yes, I love live shows!
LNL: What was the last band that you saw?
Henkka: I don’t remember… (Thinking)… I don’t remember! (Laughs)
LNL: Ok! So lets play a little game here! Name the first thing that comes to your mind if I say:
“Heavy”
Henkka: Judas Priest
“Live”
Henkka: Live shows
“Loud”
Henkka: Loud festival
“Photography”
Henkka: Old analogue camera from the 70s
“Montreal”
Henkka: All the restaurants, pubs, all the nice clubs and the good foods and the nice atmosphere.
“Internet”
Henkka: Very convenient, very important!
LNL: Do you have any advice to give to new bands that may help them in the future?
Henkka: Just do your own thing, don’t listen to what everybody else says just play your own thing. No compromises in the music.
LNL: Tell me what is the good and the bad side of playing in festivals compare to club shows?
Henkka: Club shows usually you’re on tour so you can do proper sound check; usually the shows are more safe and you actually play better because you hear yourself better. People are closer so you get a more intense feeling. A festival, usually, the sound is really bad for the bands and also bad for the audience because you cannot control the wind if it takes the sound away. But then again there a lot more of people in festivals and usually people are in a really good mood and get a little bit drunk so you know, it’s a festival atmosphere so that’s compensate all the difficulty so for me it’s even.
LNL: What can we expect from the band for the remaining year?
Henkka: We have a couple of festivals in Europe and then we have some shows in Russia, and then were going to tour in Australia and South America and then it’s already Christmas!
LNL: Do you have any plans for 2012 already?
Henkka: Yes! We are going to be on tour in North America in January and February and then were going to do a lot of summer tours in Europe and then I don’t know… Hopefully we will do a big summer tour in North America, I hope!
LNL: Thank you so much for your time!
Henkka: Thank you!
