FIRST EDITION OF MONTREAL’S POUZZA FEST: ALL THE DETAILS NOW ANNOUNCED!

Pouzza Fest is a party / event that will be taking place downtown Montreal on May 20-21-22 2011. Featuring over 120 bands performing in 4 different venues, at a walking distance from each other.

The idea came from Hugo Mudie (lead singer of punk band The Sainte Catherines and from L’Écurie Productions), after participating in a festival similar to this one in Gainsville, Florida. Knowing that the punk rock scene has always had a special part in each and every kid’s heart in Quebec, he decided to recreate that concept in downtown Montreal.

This then, Montreal gets a chance to experience this event with more than 120 bands coming from not only Quebec, but also everywhere in Canada, the US and Europe! These bands will be playing at Foufounes Electrique, Katacombes, Underworld and l’Absynthe. Not only will there be shows, but also free BBQ, different merch tables and many surprises to come!

This event will surely bring excitement and a sense of community to all the fans, which is without a doubt a big part of the punk scene since its beginning. “We want this to be fun for everyone and to be an opportunity for the fans to meet new friends, hear new bands and visit the great city of Montreal.”
