CMW 2011: DAY 1 @ THE HORSESHOE TAVERN, RIVOLI & MOD CLUB
Canadian Music Fest: Day 1
March 9th, 2011
Artists: Chasing Amee, Rex Goudie, Finger Eleven
Venues: The Horseshoe Tavern, The Rivoli, The MOD Club
Chasing Amee – The Horseshoe Tavern
If there’s a feel good band in Toronto right now, it’s Chasing Amee. Since our interview with them last year, I’ve been keeping in touch and updated on what they’ve been up to. This was my first chance to catch them live, and I wish I could have just taken them on the spot back here with me to Newfoundland to share with the world. It’s hard to watch this band without wanting to sing and dance along, while they’ve come far since their stint on disBAND – with a little more time this band could easily take over the radio scene. Rex Goudie – The Rivoli
Rex Goudie should at all times have a band behind him, his voice is so powerful and with a band packs such a punch. He’s stepped away from the clean sound and vocals associated with his first two albums to bring out a dirtier rock sound that we’ve been waiting for him to find. Finally, you can rock out at a Rex Goudie concert and not feel guilty. Photos of his performance can be found here!
Finger Eleven – The MOD Club
Finger Eleven are currently on an North American tour and have made time to stop and play during Canadian Music Week. The crowd was really hectic and very excited to see the band play in Toronto! Click here now for photos of the show!
