JOEY CAPE + TONY SLY ACOUSTIC IN MONTREAL
Joey Cape (lead singer of Lagwagon) and Tony Sly (lead singer of No Use For A Name) have already put out an acoustic album together and now, after each giving the fans an acoustic solo album, they decided to go on tour together!
Cape and Sly played two shows in Montreal last Saturday night: an early show had been added after the first scheduled show sold out so quickly. Selling out both shows at the Foufounes Electriques, the duo seemed very excited and happy to play in front of all their admiring fans.
Joey Cape played not only songs from his solo album, “Bridge”, but also songs from his other bands, Lagwagon and Bad Astronaut. To the joy of all the fans, he also played songs from the “Doesn’t Play Well With Others” album – a subscription album where you get 1 song every month in your inbox, before you receive the CD and more by mail next year. As for Tony Sly, he also played songs from his acoustic solo album, “12 Song Program” as well as songs from the No Use For A Name directory.
Joey Cape and Tony shared the stage for 2 and a half hours (during each show) and made the fans smile and sing a long for the same amount of time! It is also good to know that the shows in Montreal were filmed for an upcoming DVD, so keep an eye out for that!
